Check out the four great trivia podcasts I mentioned: PodQuiz - 20 brain-busting questions on every topic; Mostly Trivial - Good short one- or two-question shows if you're in a hurry; Brain Strain - Music trivia questions, served up three at a time; and Voices From The Vault - Name the famous person, hearing only their voice. All four are great, and all four are worth subscribing to. Posted by bibbott at June 26, 2005 9:33 PM

Fantastic show, and I'm not just saying that because you played my request from The Persuasions. :) (By the way, Amazon has some free downloads by the Persuasions - a nice introduction to their work!)

Did you know that Sting did another version of Ain't No Sunshine on a David Sanborn's Inside album? I thought that was the one you were going to play, but it is very different and very good. I can't figure out which I prefer, the one played tonight or the one I have.

Love the trivia bits, looking forward to more of them.

Hi Brian,
i have been listening Coverville since the 94th show and i´m always a fan.
This one in particular because of the high quality brazilian singer, Marisa Monte.
I´m from Brazil and i was very happy to listening that.
A request: another very famous brazilian singer has one albun all of covers, i don´t know if this has always be played in the show but...
is Caetano Veloso on his last albun called "A foreign sound", one of my favorites are "Come as you are" of Nirvana.

Tchau!

Podquiz was fun. Very similar to the old "Elevator from Hell" feature from a Boston radio station where you would have to guess the tune as played in a muzak type format.

"I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" is actually a cover; Paul Revere and the Raiders had the original. Songwriters/producers Boyce and Hart used the song for fellow Columbia labelmates The Monkees and took the Raiders' arrangement too.
