Hey Brian, thanks for the Moxy Früvous! Great show as usual. - Marty Cosgrove
Posted by: Marty Cosgrove at June 13, 2005 8:57 AMI haven't heard Moxy Fruvous in years. I really liked them before they got too political. Thanks for playing them.
The Staple Singers also do a great job of The Weight.
Posted by: Kevin J at June 13, 2005 11:13 AMWhat do you mean, "before they got too political"? They were political from day one! That was one of the reasons I always liked them. :)
Posted by: Marty Cosgrove at June 14, 2005 12:04 PMThe Moxy Fruvous version of Psycho Killer is good, but check out The Bobs version as well.
Less guitar, more capella.
I don't think that they were really political from the start, unless you are reading something in to "My Baby Loves A Bunch of Authors" and "King of Spain" that I'm not. :)
