So I was just listening to the episode, and I will proudly state that the only band I recognized without cheating was Juliette and the Licks. Works for me- I like Juliette and the Licks as a legit band, she seems to take it seriously so I will to. Plus she's hot dirty sex, can't go wrong with that.

"One of my first shows was a collection of celebrities doing cover songs..."

Awesome show Brian! Which songs/celebs were in your first show on this subject?

Great show! I especially liked the medley!

Give Peace a Chance is not a Beatles song.
John Lennon all the way.

Whoops - you're right! Not sure how I screwed that up!

One of my favorite shows, and there has been plenty.
I was loking for a cover version to a song by the Beatles, found this site and thought I would pass it along to you.

The songs are in Real media format, but there's an mp3 of the Odd Couple version of You're so vain out there in cyberspace, it's not the worlds greatest quality since it was probably ripped from the album.

I also found this great 30minute audio of a guy explaining the whole "Paul is dead" theory and how they replaced him with another singer.

How can you have a celebrity cover show without having Shatner on it?

Posted by: Jeff at December 4, 2005 6:37 PM

Ahh, Jeff - it was a challenge I was prepared to take on!

RJ: The songs & artists on the first celebrity show (show #2 in the archives) were:

More Than This, Bill Murray,
Unforgettable, Jackie Chan/Ani Difranco,
I Am The Walrus, Jim Carrey,
Tonight You Belong To Me, Josh Ritter,
Something Stupid, Nicole Kidman/Robbie Williams,
Darling Nikki, Rebecca Romijin-Stamos,
In My Life, Sean Connery
(not neccessarily in that order...)

I have to admit, I really like Rebecca Romijin-Stamos singing Darling Nikki. :)
