Hey Brian, the show sounds great. Thanks for all your hard work putting it together. :)

Krev-E-az-uck. And IIRC, she is married to Raine Maidia from another of our Canadian secrets, Our Lady Peace.

Ok, that version of Everlasting love is fantastic! I swear that this show gets better every time I hear it. Keep up the magnificent work, Brian.

Some great stuff on this show, Brian. Loved every one of the last five tracks (I can cope without Jamie Cullum, frankly, but each to his own). Can't get enough of Coverville at the mo!

Trying to find out who sings this lyric from a commercial on now. Singer is Male with very high voice - one lyric is:

Any help - Artist - song?

thanks guys

That's Five for Fighting's "100 Years".

Posted by: brian at March 15, 2006 1:47 PM

HI Brian

Glad you played Leaving On a Jet Plane from Chantal Kreviazuk. I friend made me a mix cd about 2 years ago and put this song on there. They said it was Ani DiFranco, which I knew it wasn't but never knew who it was by. Of course you would know, you know everything :). Keep up the great work!

Posted by: imelda at March 16, 2006 9:07 AM

Hey Brian,

Are you trying to confuse me? On all the episodes w/the Cake cover you spelled the song "Mahna Mahna" but on this one you have it "Mah Na Mah Na"
Is it spelled different on the two albums? And if so, do you want the different spellings in the database, or do you want them both the same?

During the countdown I was one of those people who didn't like that song, but I gotta admit that the more I hear it, the more it grows on me. :)

I really liked most of the songs in this show, especially "Such Great Heights"

~Sharon

Posted by: Linda at April 7, 2006 5:35 PM

I have another question... does anyone know who did a cover of the En Vogue song titled "Strange"? I heard it on a TV program, probably a crime drama. Maybe it was CSI Miami or something similar. Anyway the song is slow with a haunting melody, not at all like the En Vogue original. The words that stick in my head are: "Don't you think it's kinda funny. Strange" Help!! it's driving me crazy. I heard it a couple of weeks ago. I don't remember the program because I leave the tv on for background noise when I am writing.

Posted by: Linda at April 7, 2006 5:49 PM

I want to know who sung the song from the Ford fusion commercial. The one that was out last year. 2005.It's not Kelly Clarkson. This one is a male.
It's driving me nuts looking for it.

The commercial had the car driving around in this surreal town, with alot of pinks and magenta colors.

I'm looking for that song to SPEED TV's show "Pinks". it only plays a little at the end of the show. The lyrics say "Walk away, walk away from meeeee..."
Anyone know artist / title? and where to find it?

The only song I know of with binary code in it "1001001" is from RUSH. It's called The Body Electric. From Grace Under Pressure 1984. Trivia:The song is about an android that becomes self aware. The line in the song goes "1001001, S.O.S." 1001001 translates to 73. The 73 rd ascii is I.

Can anyone help? I am looking for a title of a song that was used in a car commercial. Don't even remember for which car. The ad shows a pretty blond gal in her car as she goes through different life phases: college girl, hippie girl, business woman etc.. In each of the phases, she is in her trusty car with her faithful canine companion but she is with a different guy --- who seems to reflect which phase she's in. (In fact, when the hippie guy puts his barefeet up on her dashboard, she gives him a sideways disapproving look!) I guess the moral of the commercial is that we may go through many life phases (and many boyfriends!) but we can always count on our faithful dog and our trusty automobile to be with us. I don't even remember any of the words in this song... maybe "my boyfriend" is in there somewhere? A few months ago, I heard this song on the radio and realized that it wasn't just a commercial jingle. Does this ad sound familar to anyone? Does anyone know the song? Thanks!!

Do you know the name of the song that plays during the commercial for the television series "The Unit"?

Posted by: Lindy at October 25, 2006 7:37 AM

For the Kohl's Transformation Nation song:

This is from this website
http://www.promoguy.net/archives/002927.php

"The song is "In A Big Country" originally recorded by none other than Big Country from the LP/CD "The Crossing."
Oh yeah, the song in the commercial is NOT Big Country. According to a message posted on the official Big Country website, it was performed by "session musicians" Jimmy Gnecco vocalist for the band "Ours," just for the Kohls commercial, and is not (yet?) available for purchse.
There is a version of this song by Dashboard Confessional which is being played in the Kohl's stores, and you can buy this one, but it is not the same one in the commercial."

That's "Bizarre Love Triangle" originally by New Order. The version you're looking for is probably Frente!, which you can hear here:

Hi, I was wondering if you knew the song to the new Coke commercial. It's like all the guys are jumping into a basketbal court, but it's actually a pool, or something. The song has a phrase that is like "I'm falling away with you" Pleasssssssse.

for the sunbaked pringles commercial, the song isn't a real song it was just for the ad. :( shame, it's awesome
