Coverville 254: The Cure Cover Story, part 2

Continuing on our Cure Cover Story, here's part 2, with a harder edge, and may requests added into the mix. And by the way, the Dinosaur Jr. track ends that way. It just does. On every version I've ever had, trust me. Here's what's on the show tonight:

I haven't listened to the show yet, so maybe you mention this, but where is Goldfinger's "Just Like Heaven?" Probably the best Cure cover EVAH!

Brian, not sure if anyone has reported this, but the copy I downloaded seems to have a skip about 11:29 - maybe just the way the songs transition, but it sounds strange.

When I click an Amazon link from your show, ignore the CD I got it from, and buy other stuff from Amazon, do you still get money from them? If so you just got a boost from my xmas shopping :) Might get another when I buy a laptop in a month or two.

Keep up the good work!

From time to time I find you show really intresting; at other times, I feel compelled to skip over most of the song. The Cure editions scored really high.

Thanks, Roger. I think that you've hit upon the beauty of podcasting. As opposed to television, it's relatively easy to find content you really like, and if you come across something that's not your cup of tea, it's really easy to skip over!

Glad you enjoyed the Cure shows - let me know if you've got requests for future programs.

What was the "late 80s" CD of covers you mentioned? You said there were songs by Tracy Chapman and Metallica? Thanks. B

It's called Rubaiyat, and was Elektra's 40th Anniversary double-disc. There's a link up in the shownotes to buy it on Amazon, and I'll put a link here as well:
