Coverville 260: These requests are nothing to sneeze at.

Here's what's on the show tonight (Note: at about 16 minutes into the show, I sneeze. Normally, I'd edit this out - and you'll hear me mention that - but my audio editing program isn't launching. It's late, and I want this show to go out tonight. So I'm uploading it as is. This is the behind the scenes stuff, folks... Have a chuckle on me.) :

Utterly mystified by the provenance of the "California Dreamin" cover - I know dada very well, and saw them perform this cover in a bitter cold night in Minneapolis in 1994 or so. However, my edition of EL SUBLIMINOSO doesn't have this cover - where did you or your listener find a studio version of the song?

It's a bonus track on the 2004 rerelease of the album. Here's a link to the album in Amazon: El Subliminoso. The track was only previously available in the UK and Japan.

FYI the fergie original is called london bridge, not london bridges, not sure about the cover. Good show, even though I had hear 3 of the songs previously, and thanks for inspiring me to go to not lame, which is something I've been meaning to do.

I'm going to do a cover of The Sneeze.

Bless you!

That Opie Gone Bad cover was superb; not heard that before I think.

I had to scroll through Take on me as I was becoming suicidal. Sure that wasn't Radiohead? :-)

I'm trying to find the Take On Me cover on the web and can't find it through the link you provided. Can you double check it for me?

Wow. I am way behind on these, but just listened last night and absolutely LOVE the Angela McCluskey cover of Love Is Stronger Than Death. Thought I would hate it, because the original is one of my favorite songs. GREAT! Thank you!
