Coverville Facebook Application?

One of the most common recommendations that I have received for expanding the show has been social media and networks. I agree. And it seems like Facebook is the way I'm moving, and I'd like to create a Facebook Application for the show.
What would you like to see in a Coverville Facebook App? Here are some ideas that Im kicking around:
1. A constantly updating app that lists upcoming theme shows, cover stories and interviews, so you can make suggestions
2. A listing of the three most recent episodes of Coverville
3. Cover Song of the Day?
I think the biggest hurdle for me is that I don't know what Facebook is capable of, or how it would integrate with Coverville. I'm like that boss that came to his staff 15 years ago and said, "We need to get on this interwebs thing. Make it happen."
Now, I have created a Cover Song Trivia Quiz, and so far, the best score has been Dave Lifton's 91%. Is that a sign that I made it too hard?
If you're a Facebook power user, let me know what you think the right direction would be for me. I thank you.
Posted by bibbott at February 19, 2008 8:20 AMHow about a way to rate the songs from the previous (few?) shows? This might make for another good end of year show, Favorite Covers of the Previous Year.
Posted by: Nick at February 19, 2008 9:48 AMCool idea to create a quiz, but it was way hard. I've been listening to your show for years and only scored 36%. :(
Posted by: Sandra at February 19, 2008 12:36 PMSound good. You may want to check out last.fm because they have some facebook applications. there are also some other podcasts pages and applications on facebook, so it'd be worth checking out their pages to see what they're up to if you haven't already. just search "podcast." I wish you good luck. Great show!
Posted by: Dan at February 19, 2008 1:47 PMHeck yes that quiz was hard. I've listened to every Coverville show EVER and I still missed two. Didn't know the answer to number two, so I guessed Elvis Costello. Didn't figure you could have a quiz without Elvis as an answer. Guess I was wrong.
For an app, and I haven't spent any time with facebook apps, so I don't know what's possible, but my suggestion would be some kind of vs app where we can pick a preference from two covers (with links to the appropriate shows where you played the covers in case we aren't familiar). The songs could get scores and after a while you could do a show consisting of the winners.
Don't know if I rambled too much there, but it's a suggestion.
I know I'd love a cover song of the day...there's at least one group on facebook devoted to the love o' cover songs, so I doubt you'd be lacking in interest.
Posted by: alicia at February 20, 2008 9:19 PMWhat about creating a page? It's quick, easy and allows Facebook users to 'become a fan' of Coverville, showing it off to everyone on their friends lists.
If you create an application, you should find a way to have interactive functionality so that when users interact with the application you can post a message to their news feed. Their friends will then see messages like "Calrion just rated Katie Noonan's version of "Black Hole Sun" 4 out of 5 on Coverville - the cover music podcast".
(That wasn't a show request, by the way, not at all!)
