Haven't listened...why the jump from 431 to 434? Or is it explained in the show?

Love this podcast. And I'm gonna stand up for heavily covered songs. A heavily covered song is one that strikes a lot of people as open to interpretation. If its a good cover then it should be like a new song. So lets get some more umbrellas and such other covers.
And what can I say about musically challanged. The Bible, you miss the Bible? I mean, Brian, you're a freaking genuis about endless musical minutae and you miss something written by Soloman (or was it David - I think it was Soloman). I mean, even as musical trivia, missing that was beneath you! Hi Tina! I love you! Will you marry me??

Thanks for playing the Third Man cover, Brian! Spacey was exactly the right word for it! :)

Jared Leto was in Fight Club? Don't remember him in that. He WAS however, definitely in Requiem For a Dream as well as a couple of good small budget/indie flicks, and has shown he has good acting chops. As a musician, however, he's a Tw**!

So I guess I missed the opportunity to vote, but let me offer my thoughts now.

Do not ever, never, not ever play another cover of "Umbrella." I don't care if the Smiths reform with Paul McCartney playing bass. I don't ever want to hear this disposable piece of fluff again, and no, I don't care who's doing it. Chris Cornell? No. Stanley Jordan? No. Patty Griffin? No. Metallica? No. Pavarotti, raised from the dead? No.

Rage against the Machine?

Okay, that might be interesting. But nobody else.

I don't know if I mentioned this, but I love hearing the interplay between you and Tina during the Musically Challenged pieces. It's one of the highlights of the week, just because I enjoy hearing the chemistry between you folks. One of these days, I'll put together my own Musically Challenged quiz for you kids.

I cannot believe that you didn't know "Turn Turn Turn" came from the Bible. Silly pagans.

You heard him, Brian, play more covers of 'Umbrella'.

After all, 'never, not ever' is a double negative thereby meaning he'll be upset if you stop playing them.

Skybluesky, if you don't want to listen to a song on the podcast, you can skip over it with the touch of a button. I do it frequently.

As for silly pagans, since most Christian traditions are based on pagan rituals, wouldn't that make Bible thumpers the real silly ones?
