When are you folks going to set up a Facebook account? I'd really like to "become a fan" in the artist listings. I hope to see a podcaster link there soon.

REALLY interesting show. I especially liked the bit where Liza said that British people are more interested in music. I certainly think we are more open to different styles of music than the label dominated States. As Brian says, how crazy is it that Brian read about the Polyphonic Spree from Q! The band should be snapped up in an instant by a major American label, but they are so resistant to trying something new, they won't take the chance. Yet Leona Lewis goes straight in at number 1. Crazy!

Oh, and Kelko, Brian is on Facebook.

Just to clarify a comment in this episode: Emm Gryner and Danny Michel's series Under the Covers wasn't a one-off. CBC Radio tends to have a lot of short-run programs; a new set of episodes should air later this year.

Great show. This is the only cover place I visit regularly (and subscribe to) so I really enjoyed hearing from & about other cover bloggers.

Thanks!

My favourtite cover of My Favorite Things, is John Coltrane's jazz arrangement. Never wondered before if it is because there are no vocals and therefore no lyrics.
