As always, I bow to your musical knowledge. Coverville ROCKS!!
Digg.com now has a Podcasts section. I tried to add the coverville feed, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Maybe another Coverville user could post it and provide a link to digg it?
And Brian, since you’ve got “Digg This Story” links, maybe a new “Digg This Podcast” link is needed.
Well, it’s been over a year since I tipped you off about that Carpenters covers compliation “If I were a Carpenter” and finally you play one of the best covers! Given there is also a Matthew Sweet cover on there, that is pretty amazing!
Time for a Carpenters cover story?

What are you guys listening to? Am I hearing the same podcast? Or did I get the bizarro feed? “Sexual Healing” and “Lay Lady Lay” were terrific. “That’s All” was very good. But “Top of the World”????? That was AWFUL. The singer had no voice or style at all.
The rest of the show was terrific. Thanks, Brian.

Brian – Love the show. Always something new is found when listening.
Tina – As a member of the newspaper delivery nation, I agree that the cards are a bit of a presumption that we deserve a tip. I thank you for getting a tip to your guy on his bill. But that is usually the exception not the rule. I have 260 papers to deliver (while I listen to Coverville) and only about 5 send tips with payment (one guy gives me $1.75 a month). There are many people that have told me that they are glad we give out the cards so they can show their appreciation. So please don’t be offended by the cards, and keep on tipping your guy.
Oh, and where was that Warren Zevon cover on the Ska show!
Tina, I agree, but we don’t subscribe to the whole “let the employers pay shitty wages and the tax paying public can subsidise their greed by paying the employees wages through tips” stuff here in the UK to the extent you do in the USA!
I also could not help thinking of the scene in Reservoir dogs about not tipping waitresses and that episode of “Curb your enthusiasm” where Larry tips 30% to the waiter but forgets to tip the bell captain as well and incurs his wroth!
I liked the music quiz although I did worse than Brian and Tina.
Is it just me or does that Lay Lady Lay sound just like the Sufjan Stevens song Jacksonville?
