Isn’t Singin’ in the Rain more of a Gene Kelly song than Fred Astaire?
Not to quibble, Brian, because I love Coverville, but was Fred Astaire really the first person to do “Singin’ in the Rain?” It’s Gene Kelly in the movie.

Great idea. Just taken a look again at the box set they released in 1987 for the CD release of the album. Fantastic artwork.
On the song Singin’ in the Rain, cliff Edwards was the first one who sang it back in 1929.
