Brian, you’ve outdone yourself with Pat’s request for a cover of Ring of Fire… I loved that version – very innovative. Awesome find. Thanks for finding it! Keep up the great work.
This and That Jeff
Hi Brian,
Thanks very much for playing my “Ring of Fire” request. That version was very interesting. Sarah Vowell did a great story on Johnny and June Carter Cash and this song on their Valentine Day show – of This American Life.
Anyway, this version was haunting and I think it captured the feelings of being in love with someone.
Thanks again, pat
Hello Brian,
I look forward to each and every one of your podcasts. I was wondering if you could play the Chinese Detective’s cover version of “Are Kisses Out of Fashion”? It was originally played by Sudeten Creche a band whose members were from Belfast, Northern Ireland but were popular in the Soviet Block countries, Germany and Sweden in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
