Brian – you noted the US version had 12 songs, which is true, but 4 of them were instrumentals by George Martin. “I Should Have Known Better”, “And I Love Her”, “Ringo’s Theme (This Boy)”, and the title song. It had only 8 Beatles tracks, Side 1 and “I’ll Cry Instead”, This Boy by the Beatles was not a B-side to a song from AHDN; it was the B-side of All My Loving in Canada (released in the US) and of I Want to Hold Your Hand in the UK. The GEORGE MARTIN version of Ringo’s Theme was released as an A-side (and got to #53 pop, #7 adult contemporary); the B-side was And I Love Her. the other two MARTIN cuts were also released on a single ISHKB got to 111, AHDN to 122.
