After a wonderful interview with the Lascivious Biddies, and some after-interview microphone troubleshooting (iChat seems to temporarily negatively affect my Audio Hijack Pro recording), I’m too out of it tonight to record a show. All-Request Sunday will happen tomorrow (Monday) night, and we’ll get back on track on Tuesday with a track from the brand-spanking-new Cars cover album (Awesome!). And on Thursday, I’ll present the Biddies’ interview show. Good night, and thanks for your continued listening and support…
I’d like to make a couple of requests, especially after hearing the Ramones cover of My Back Pages. How about a Dylan coverville? I’d love to hear more stuff like The Ramones playing Dylan songs.
And for your next triple take how about House of the Rising Sun? It’s easily my favourite cover that Dylan did (and he didn’t change the words like the Animals did later on!).
I’m loving the show, keep up the good work!
Brian!
That interview was so fun last night! Can’t wait to hear it – THANKS SO MUCH!
Love,
Lee Ann & The Biddies
After finding out that the track Everybody’s got to learn sometime performed by Beck in the movie Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind (nice one, along with a nice soundtrack) is a cover, I knew what had to be done. So now that it is, what do you say Brian? I believe that the original was delivered by The Korgis, and that this version has never been on the show. By the way, isn’t there any cover on The Beatle’s Across The Universe you could air? I know one made by Fiona Apple (maybe not the best of them), but there’s plenty.
Congrats on a smashing show and keep busy!
…forgive my typo above, I’m more interested in music than blankets…there’s no cover of Across the Universe under some reeking blanket as far as I know.
