Over the next few days, you’ll see some interesting things here – just trying some things out for the site…
Feel free to let me know what you think!
This isn’t a show – I’m trying out some different displays for the song lists…

odeo’s working for me, real audio isn’t
Same for me
The player on the right with the last few shows is superb Brian. Great quality. I’d go as far as to say “awesome”!!
Well done oh Website master!
Wayne
I am having trouble downloading this show.
The Posies covered “What’s Going Ahn” 4 different times? I didn’t know that!
That Matthew Sweet cover is … well … sweet. It’s great. Also look for Elliott Smith’s version of “Thirteen,” which is lovely and sublime, if you’re in a Big Star mood. Or email me, Brian, and I’ll hook you up, as the kids say. (Do the kids say that anymore? Oh well.)
The display doesn’t work for me; I run my browser at 800 or so wide, and the far side of the CD case is covered by the ads on the right.
The CD case “Coverville” looks good. Your CD”s Brian?
In the “E” in Coverville: “I get knocked down, but I get up again, ain’t nothing gonna keep me down..”
Any chance of looking at how the songs are displayed in iTunes? A simple “/” between songs would make it easier to makes sense of the display on the iPod screen.
You’re absolutely right – I’ll make sure that I take the iTunes display into account when I’m figuring out how best to do the lists.
I think the CD case idea may not work for now.
The Coverville text looks AWESOME!!!
My number-one-with-a-bullet request for site design is this:
PLEASE make the show notes make visual sense on the iPod! It doesn’t handle tables very well. The <table> tag is totally appropriate for the site, but iPod users would be able to handle the show notes in the RSS feed much better if you used CSS markup to style simple text like this:
The markup would look something like this:
That way, I could consult the show notes while listening to remind myself who’s covering that song I’m digging. And, yes, it would cause oddities like “The Beatles covers Your Feet’s Too Big” and “from the album Website“, but it would still be a lot easier to make sense of.
Thanks for all your work!
With the span class tags, how will it look on the iPod? Will all the tab stops be aligned?
