Paul Hester, the drummer for Crowded House as well as Split Enz’ last album, took his life on Saturday in Melbourne. As I’ve mentioned in several shows in the past, Crowded House was a band that was a favorite of mine.
This week’s Tuesday night show will be a fond and positive tribute to Paul and his contributions to the Finn-fronted bands, and will include both cover songs and Hester-penned originals.
Crowded house was also my favorite band “growing up” and I’m only 27. Sixpence None The Richer did a great cover of Don’t Dream It’s Over.
