Please send a Podcast Alley vote my way, if you haven’t done so in July!
Looks like link for #108 is to wrong episode. It appears to be linking to June 30th which is #105.
Great lineup Brian! You could also do a part 2 podcast with the Pretenders’ ‘Stop Your Sobbing’ and the Jam’s ‘David Watts’
What about Van Halen’s cover of “You Really Got Me” ?
Shame there wasn’t a prominent Lola cover I am sure you would have been spoilt for choice. Have you played a version previously? Oh yes Googleing I see it was on number 59.
Oh well I was wrong no previous lola Cover!
I’m really glad to a see a Kirsty Maccoll song – sometimes I think I’m the only person in this entire country who has heard of her! Have you ever thought of her “In These Shoes” as an uncovered gem? It’s her most popular song in the U.S., although I still think it’s pretty obscure.
Van Halen also did a cover of ‘Where Have All The Good Times Gone?”

My favorite Kinks cover was Matthew Sweet doing Waterloo Sunset live. I don’t think that any official recording of his version exists.
Shonen Knife are usually fun – I really like their cover of Top of the World on the Carpenters’ tribute album.
