Sometimes I just can’t come up with a good name for the show. Forgive me. Fortunately, the music is easier to come up with. Here’s what I picked, just for you:
Title | Artist | Original Artist: |
What A Fool Believes | Self | The Doobie Brothers |
If I Can’t Have You | Pint Size | Yvonne Elliman |
Michelle | The Overlanders | The Beatles |
Comfortably Numb | Copper Box | Pink Floyd |
Funkytown | The Tanqueray Cowboys | Lipps Inc. |
On Your Radio | Fiona Lehn | Joe Jackson |

hahaha that’s a hilarious title 🙂
Whoo, another great show, love them!
I loved the Pink Floyd cover! I’m a big Pink Floyd fan, and this is one of the best covers I’ve heard, a little bit like Weird Al Yankovic.
Thank you and good luck with the shows!
Thank you for playing Self! They’re one of my favorite bands, along with TMBG!
OMG! I never would have thought of Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” done like that! Too funny!
So I went to the CopperBox site and didn’t see an album with the “Comfortably Numb” cover on it. Checked out iTunes, but not there. Searched iTunes and found a similar cover one by Luther Wright and the Wrongs (apparently they redid the entire Wall 🙂 ). Oh well…
Great show this one! By the way, what happened legally to the Overlanders for “covering” The Beatles before Michele was even released? Did they have to pay up?
The article I read did talk about the repercussions of the “Michelle” thievery… But the song was released, and they probably only were able to collect royalties for it after the Beatles version was released.
The Copper Box album that features “Comfortably Numb” is called “Sunny Days”, and is available through CD Baby. Here’s a link (there were quite a few people who emailed me and told me they bought the album! Behold the power of Coverville!):

Is Skipping Disks gone now? After listening to your Tuesday show (last night) I tried to go there and order some disks and I can’t get the site to come up.
