Especially good Second Annual Beatles podcast, Brian. The acapella selections were exceptional and The Hyannissound group in particular.
Did you mention a weekly collegiate acapella podcast – something that sounded like acapellaU? I attempted to locate it from numerous sources, and used various spellings of “a capella” but can’t come anywhere close to finding it. Any help you may provide will be appreciated.
A lover of vocal group harmony – especially New York City DooWop,

Sorry – I should have included this in the shownotes. The Acappella U Podcast can be found at the following address: http://acappellau.libsyn.com/.
Enjoy!
Hey, tremendous, Brian, thank you for the URL.
Acappella U will never supersede Coverville on my mp3 player simply because of the variety of your genres, and, of course, the persona of Coverville’s host! But Acapella U is an excellent adjunct to Coverville for those of us into VGH.
By the way, Brian, Vocal Group Harmony isn’t limited to acappella selections since some very beautiful recordings are available with background instrumentation. Perhaps some of those VGH tracts could some day work their way into Coverville, too.

I was at podcastalley and saw that you aren’t in the top 10 anymore, so I wanted to vote for you, but I can’t find where to do so (either on your site or theirs). It seems like it shouldn’t be this hard, can you help?
This is a great show. I love hearing how people reinterpret Beatles songs… sure they’re musicians just like everybody else, but it’s almost like listening people take apart a Mozart concerto at times. I have to say that the version of “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” was my favourite of the set… There’s just enough of the old style mixed in with the Bossa Nova beat to make the whole thing tres cool.
Hi Julie,
I got kinda tired of giving all that free promotion to Podcast Alley by begging for votes. (Not that I don’t like Podcast Alley – it’s still a good resource, just not the only one…). Actually, these days, I’d love some ratings and reviews over at Yahoo Podcasts. I’ve got a link on the right side if anyone feels like leaving a comment. (Exposure there helps attract more listeners to the show!)
