Brian, Couple comments on this show (which I enjoyed very much, BTW). Nouvelle Vague is French for “new wave” so should be pronounced “Noovelle Vog” (if that makes sense). As for the Specials song, I realize it’s a cover and all, but any record on the Cleopatra label is suspect, in my book. The song wasn’t REALLY by the Specials, but by Neville Staple with a bunch of guys. But here’s an interesting thing . . . Wiedlin and Terry Hall were a couple, but then she agrees to sing this song with her ex-boyfriend’s ex-bandmate. Now there’s an awkward moment, just waiting to happen . . . .
Keep up the good work. Love your stuff. I live in northern Thailand and you help keep me sane.
