Wonderful! Great show…keep up the good work!
Fantastic show! Van Morrison is one of my favorites of all time and it was wonderful to hear so many great covers of his work. Thanks especially for the Elvis Costello and Waterboys tracks. They blew me away. I have never before heard anyone cover Astral Weeks so it was interesting to hear the Secret Machine, a band I am unfamiliar with. Thanks again.
Brian,
This is awesome! I usually write to you about the foretold R.E.M. cover story, but if I could see ANYONE play and mark the final “wanna see before I die” it would be Van Morrison.
This is a great show. I love the Wallflowers’ cover of into the mystic – the whole thing’s a work of cover art!
I am 2-3 shows behind (weeks holiday and i only listen in the car to work!), so apologies if this was mentioned.
I wonder if anyone has caught up with the album of covers by Van Morrison and Linda Gail Lewis (sister of Jerry Lee) called “You Win Again”?
Pretty good old time rock and roll by Van the Man, featuring a few Jerry Lee songs and Jambalaya (on the Bayou) most famously covered by the Carpenters.
He and Linda Gail had a serious falling out after this

Amazingly, Linda Gail lives in the UK. Rock ‘n roll huh! Still, it didn’t hurt Shakin’ Stevens or Bonnie Tyler!!
I love to listen and feel the music so, I love Van Morrison and I think that he is one of the best songwriters of our time. I like to stay in the summer evening and listing for hours his music.
Listening to “moondance” always reminds me of that shower scene in “American Werewolf in London” !
Sorry 🙂
