There’s a “Shifted Sound” Musically Challenged in this show! Make sure to check out Shelby’s podcast, Shifted Sound!
Hello Brian, delighted to see you including Low, but isn’t “Transmission” a Joy Division, not New Order, track?
(It also appears on A Means To An End, a Joy Division tribute.)
You’re absolutely right – from their 1981 album “Still”. Corrected on the site!
Still not in i-tunes…
I tell ya, Brian, as much as I love the music you play, I also enjoy the banter between you & Tina. You guys sound like you have as much fun together as my wife & I.
Cruising in Longmont. Way to bring back the memories Tina – although we didn’t listen to Milli Vanilli much.
LOVED Scala – check out http://hype.non-standard.net/list/357 for more cover samples. I have go go buy them now, dammit – and as imports go, they ain’t cheap.
Nice show Brian – turned me onto some new music and reminded me I must subscribe to Q soon!
Shelby’s quiz was superb – more please Shelby!
Well gosh, I never realized my cell phone was in such a great service area when I made the call.
Thanks for putting it on the air anyway.
My “Smart Playlist” kept me rocking for 99% of the 12 hour drive.
Thanks again for all the work Brian.
(P.S. Is it time for an ALL Acapella coverville podcast again?)
I’m a few weeks behind, so I just got to hear the first “Shifted Sound” edition of “Musically Challenged”. Haven’t seen or heard this mentioned elsewhere, but there’s another first associated with “Rock Around the Clock”: it was the original theme song for “Happy Days”.
Good show and fun quiz… more please!
