Still not on UK i-tunes this morning…
Still not showing in iTunes here in the US Friday afternoon. Guess I’ll manually download it and import into iTunes.
Tim
Guess what I found in my iTunes this morning!
Me too! What the hell is wrong with i-tunes these days?
This reminds me I must get that Rubber Soul tribute.
I don’t suppose there is a Revolver one? Their best album IMO, next to Rubber Soul.
Loved, loved, *loved* this mix. The only addition I would have suggested is “Helter Skelter” by Oingo Boingo (from their final studio album).

OOOOPS — I in the previous comment I meant “I Am The Walrus”
D’oh!!

LOVE’in this show.
loved the Keaggy (short e sound) song.
Great cover of “Love Me Do” by Ringo himself. Very fun! I wanted to dance in my chair here at work listening 11-28-06.
Great show Brian!
Ringo Starr was indeed in studio when The Beatles recorded “Love Me Do”. There exists a recording of him playing drums on it, which is available on the original UK single release (red label) and Past Masters Volume 1. However, the more widespread version features studio drummer Andy White on drums, with Ringo Starr playing tambourine, available mostly everywhere else. (Both versions are available on the CD version of the single, released in 1992.) There even exists a version of the song with Pete Best on drums, available on Anthology 1.
Ringo Starr also played drums on the song when The Beatles played it on various BBC programs. These were recorded at least eight times, with one recording appearing on Live at the BBC.
I loved this show so much. Never heard before about Scott Isaac or Bela Fleck… Great.
