Another show, another logo. Hey, why not? And if you’re looking for the ABBA Cover Story I, here’s a link (it was before I started using the term Cover Story, btw)
Here’s what’s on the show tonight:
Title (with link to iTunes, if available) | Artist (with link to the artists’ website, if available) | Album (with link to Amazon.com, if available) | Original Artist |
Dancing Queen | Luka Bloom | Keeper of the Flame | ABBA |
Waterloo | Texas Lightning | No No Never | ABBA |
S.O.S. | Tonic | Andrew Denton Breakfast Show Musical Challenge | ABBA |
Money, Money, Money | Richard Thompson | 1000 Years of Popular Music | ABBA |
Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! | Nils Landgren Funk Unit | Funky Unit: Funky Abba | ABBA |
Fernando | Steven Durand | Coverfight | ABBA |
Listening to the show while I was doing my weekend cleaning. Heard the Money, Money, Money track and thought, really sounds like Richard Thompson but can’t be. Well, wasn’t I wrong. Added his CD to my to buy list.
Thanks for another great show.
Amazing show Brian. I’m a huge fan of ABBA and this was really refreshing! I’ve only recently discovered Coverville and I can’t stop listening!
Thanks Brian for the great cover story. Thank you again for playing my request for Luka Bloom. Coverville is the best.
Everytime someone asks me about podcasting I always mention Coverville.
I am also a huge ABBA fan and what a treat to listen to the ABBA cover story! I missed the 1st one. Thank you very much (for the music!) and I am looking forward to a 3rd ABBA cover story! 🙂
P.S. I love the ABBA Gold parody graphic 🙂
Hi
Really enjoy the show, thanks so much for turning me on to so many new bands. I have become stagnant in my musical choices over the last 10 years, but you have turned that around. I really love the Waterloo cover (not an ABBA fan or a country fan), Jane Comerford is incredible and I have No No Never on the way from Amazon. Again – Thanks!
Alan
Try “Knowing Me, Knowing You” which was recorded in 1976. You can find the cover on esnips.com. Very nice piece of work.
