Hi, California Sun’s Original is Rivieras.

Excellent show (as always), Brian!
I’ve been a Ramones fan for some time now, and I have to say, the wait for a Ramones Cover Story was definitely worth it.
My ears pricked up on hearing “Out of time”. Firstly, this is a classic hit from the 60’s, reaching number 1 in July 1966 and I have listened to the original many times. But I was unaware that Jagger and Richards wrote this! Jagger produced the song too and sang backing vocals.
It was on the Stones “Aftermath” album, released in April 1966 in the UK (June in the US), but the track was ommitted from the US version (because 14 tracks was considered too much!), later being released on “Flowers” in 1967.
So, is it an Originalville? It was released first by the Stones on an album, but was recorded in early 1966 by Chris Farlowe. Before the Stones – Aftermath was recorded in 2 sessions – December 1965 and March 1966? Is the Stones version a cover?
Manic Street Preachers also covered it I believe.
I loved this show! now i’m off to buy the music. Brian, thanks so much for doing this show!
