Really interesting show. Loved the Tumbling Dice cover and yes, I had an “aha” moment, but not like the Norwegian pop band!
I always feel a little sad when Stevie Wonder goes uncredited though re: Gangsters Paradise and if this continues, a whole new generation will grow up thinking this was Coolio’s work entirely.
Hearing Death Cab For Cutie’s version of Sick Of Myself made more sense out of DCFC’s music than anything else I’ve ever heard by them…
Argh, that Gangsta’s Paradise cover is going to be difficult to acquire …
It seems to me that saying “Enjoy” before playing a Marilyn Manson song is sending mixed signals, Brian.
OTOH, that version of “Sick of Myself” was excellent. Sublime, even.
