I love the show! It kept me humming all day long.
Perfect timing on this one! I went to see Across the Universe the other day, and have had all kinds of Beatles music in my head ever since. I particularily liked the Jonathan Coulton, Bernadette Peters, and Paul McCartney tracks. And Jamie Cullum! I was listening to a Broadway internet radio station yesterday, and this great version of Cole Porter’s I Get a Kick Out of You came on, by this person I had never heard of. It was Jamie Cullum! I was going to come here and put in a request for something of his, haha.
Thank you for a fantastic show to get this Canadian through an ordinary Thursday (well, now Friday…).
FAB-4-TASTIC!!
Thanks for playing the Jamie Cullum cover – I don’t think i’ll ever stop smiling at the Henry the Horse line!
When you play a bunch of Beatles songs together like this, covering the whole range of their songs, it really drives home to you just how talented songwriters they were, and I don’t think they will ever be equaled in that respect. Totally influential even today.
Thanks John, Paul, George and Ringo….and of course Brian of course for doing this every year:-)
