Nice Guitar Hero segment – but you need some practice.
I hate to be negative, but could Semisonic have done a more faithful facsimile if they had tried? – right down to the vocal arrangement, chords, everything. I swear I could lay the original over this and you would not notice there were 2 songs! Usually, to qualify as a cover the covering artist would try to add something of their own stamp.
Maybe this is one for the “Is it a cover?” debate on the forums!
OK, I admire you for doing that Guitar Hero segment. Mostly just because you put it all on the line for everyone to hear. I laughed a lot, but I’m not claiming to be any better. That’s what I like about your show, it’s so authentic.
Just listened to this episode and the Guitar Hero segment was so funny! This kind of stuff is what keeps Coverville interesting and fun. Very cool, laughed and enjoyed the show.
Thanks!
🙂
I was rolling around with laughter hearing your Guitar Hero playing!!! 😀 😀 😀
Not that I do it any better…
I have to confess that I’m a little bet better than I portrayed in the show. I was trying to make a joke that the Guitar Hero version of “What I Like About You” sounded very different from the Romantics’ version because of all the “twangs” and “pops”.
What can I say? My writers are on strike!
