Apropos gender crossing covers, just a few minutes ago ( what a coincidence that it just fits right here now) I stumpled upon this nice video that shows Sigourney Weaver singing "Back in the USSR":

I have to see that movie (again) 🙂

Greetings to Brian and all listeners
Thanks for an awesome episode!
Ha! Pretty funny stuff. If you do another one I suggest the Johnny Thunders (or maybe it's New York Dolls) version of the Shangri-La's "Great Big Kiss" …Really funny version!
Did you know the Lyle version of Stand By Your Man ends the 1993 movie The Crying Game? In the context, it totally cracked me up.
Actually, that is quite incredible. not 'funny.'
I really enjoyed this episode. Too bad you didn't play Klaus Nomi's cover of "You Don't Own Me." It would fit right in with this playlist.
