Back in episode 565 you mentioned that you'd be doing a show in Philly this month. Can you give more information about this? I'm a fan from Philly and would be interested in meeting up.
OH MY GOD!!!! You played Pastel Vespa… I work with her band leader Gavin Cornish, this is one of his arrangements.
He's head of music at the school where he and I teach. This year, the first concert is going to include the full choir and orchestra doing Livin' On a Prayer. As well as Viva la Vida and Don't Stop Me Now. And orchestra (no choir) doing Frank Zappa's Peaches en Regalia.
I'll bootleg it and get a copy onto the interwebs somewhere.
Olivia d'Abo, as you mentioned was on the wonder years, and yes she can sing. Just some useless info, Her father, Mike d'Abo was a singer/keyboard player for Manfred Mann in the mid 1960's and was in several musicals.
So she has the genes. She also has an album or two out there
Brian,
I think that there should be a Philly Soul Coverville for your trip to Philly. I can even help you get together some material for that show.
