TMBG was actually covering an old educational song for "Why does the sun shine." Specifically, Hy Zaret and Lou Singer (the former apparently wrote the lyrics for "Unchained Melody"). You can find the original (and other similar songs) at:

And to be honest, I've even played the original version (on show #201), and just didn't mention it in the excitement of winning all that money.
