I was going to say that the iTunes feed didn't show up, then it just did; Today in Music History didn't, though.
Anyway, I like the double shots in general, as long as they're not too similar and that was true today.
I really love the original of Starry Eyes by the Records, a perfect pop song about a lousy manager. I could never understand why it wasn't a bigger hit at the time.
The cover by Too Much Joy was pretty much a retread of the original, so I was wondering what the point of it was. Is there a back story I'm missing, because they appear to have completely rewritten the verses of the song – were they having a go at their own management?
Any takers to solve the mystery?
Great quote from the Musically Challenged.
"Remember Night Ranger with such SONGS as Sister Christian"
THANK YOU! for playing that version of Mr. Roboto again. It is one of my favorite covers of all time.
