I haven't had a chance to listen to the episode just yet, but I will shortly, I just wanted to say thanks for the Coles Whalen track, I am really looking forward to hearing it. Her version of Romeo and Juliet is still my favourite song that I have heard on Coverville in the last 200 episodes!!

1.Violin on Track 1 amazing! Excellent vocals, nice tune! 2. Not really a snow patrol fan but enjoyed Coles Whalen's version. 3. Nice emotion on Ain't No Sunshine! I tried to re-rate it after hitting the submission (listened again), should have given it a better rating! How about 7 stars.4. Reid and the Riot Act, great name. Unfortunately the music is sounds like Velveeta. Just my opinion. 5. Interesting worldly sound to this song. I hear a David Bowie influence (not a bad thing)! Diggin' this cover.
I agree about #5. In his voice I hear a mix between Bowie from the mid-90s and Chris Cornell from maybe around Soundgarden's Superunknown.
Review songs 6-10
6. I guess this is the emo version of the Violent Femmes. Too bad it doesn't work! Oh well, I'm sure there is some black haired, skinny, girl-pant wearing 16 year old boy who thinks this is the greatest cover ever! 7. My Sharona? Give me a break. This is the ultra-lame-guitar-keyboard-top-ramen version I have heard! Yuck.8. Kelly Ryan captures the emotional quality of the original tune by Beck. She has a great voice.9. Wow, sounds like a middle eastern version of a Dean Martin tune! Sweet!!!!!! 10. Liked the campy style of this tuneat first but after a second listen it seems a little bit like a novelty. I'll have to re-visit this one at a later time.

Nice subtle touch in the Miley Cyrus cover: it's not a Texas party. I'm pretty ashamed to know the original well enough to have caught the variation. I blame you, Brian. I'd never heard the song before you posted those cover videos. I'm still no fan of this song but it's an earworm for sure.
Hey, thanks for spotting our cover of Send Me An Angel! We were very proud of it, especially since it was a spur-of-the-moment recording done when we were all tired after a weekend recording session… 🙂
