Happy Birthday, Madonna! Look, I know your birthday was a few days ago, but I got you these covers. I didn’t make them myself, but I wrapped them up for you. Adopt them, and love them. Signed, Coverville.

Rock Sugar played AC/DC riffs with Madonna lyrics plus dash of Metallica all in the style of Van Halen. I think the Coverville universe just ate itself.
Dinah is right. That Rock Sugar cover has got to be one of the best covers you've played on the show this year.
The Rock Sugar track is just absolutely ace!!!! Even my wife loves it so it has to be the best thing since uncut loaves.
If you like Rock Sugar, you may want to check out Smash-Up Derby; they’re another band who do live mash-ups.

You also may want to look into the mash-up genre itself, if you’re not familiar with it. The annual “Best of Bootie” compilations are a good place to start.

A couple of these songs are at the edge of parody, which I thought was contrary to Coverville policy. When I think of Madonna parody covers, I think of The Lords of the New Church’s cover of “Like a Virgin”–something for the bonus tracks?
