Sometimes artists decide that one cover just isn’t enough, and they wedge a whole extra song into their cover version. Here’s some fine examples of this alarming occurrence:

“My Best Friends Magic Girlfriend” – Butch Walker (originally the Cars)

“Since U Been Gone/Maps”- Ted Leo (originally Kelly Clarkson and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs)

“Where The Streets Have No Name (I Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” – The Pet Shop Boys (originally U2 and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons)

“Be My Number Two/Shanghai Sky” – Amy Fox (originally Joe Jackson)

“Broken Bicycles/Junk” – Anne Sofie Von Otter and Elvis Costello (originally Tom Waits and Paul McCartney)

“The Way/Besame Mucho” – The Lounge-a-Leers (originally Fastball and a Latin Standard)

“Seasons In The Sun/The Hustle” – The Squirrels (“Seasons…” most popularly by Terry Jacks, “The Hustle” originally by Van McCoy)
