once again a fabulous show! and I LOVE Great Big Sea!
You played another fantastic Canadian band (Great Big Sea)! Oh yeah, and the Bar-Kays RULE! That song always reminds me of that scene in “Spies Like Us” where the Russians are guarding the missle, and grooving out to Soul Finger.
Great show……AGAIN
Don’t know if you saw it but a new Cd came out this week you may be interested in. It’s called “Punk goes 80s” and has a collection of 80s hits redone by punk bands like relient K. check it out at your local CD source.
I have been thinking of sending you the Great Big Sea cover of “End of the world” as a request for a few weeks. I had put in a Cletic Mix CD I burned and that one is on it and it came up and I thought of your show immediately. I wanted to share it with others I like it so much.
Since you got that covered already I guess my request now would be some other Celtic bands doing covers or being covered, nice theme show request I guess. Maybe get with CelticMusicNews Podcast host for some advice.
Great shows and keep them coming! Love listening to them!
PS Love the bloopers you have been adding on the long tails of the past few shows!
I live in Newfoundland, and have seen Great Big Sea a ton of times. Alan Doyle helped Russell Crowe write and produce his latest CD, and Crowe does a cover of How Did We Get To Saying I Love You from Great Big Sea. Might be worth checking out for a show.
