Testing out the format that I’ll be starting after show 1000, this show’s got everything: Requests, Tributes, Cover Stories! And much much more! (89 minutes)

I like having a longer show! Also, that Titanium cover is badass.
It seemed to work.
Smokey certainly wrote “Hunter” but didn’t perform it, as far as I know, until 4 years later.
Oh, and I love it when the outro music and the Frogpants tag overlap; it’s a hoot!
Thank you so much for playing my request! I really appreciate it and Dan did too. 🙂
Love the new format! Themed shows are fun, but totally not necessary, especially if they restrict the music. I like having mini themes shows and mini cover stories within a longer show. Looking forward to more!
Still waiting for the Violent Femmes project…is there going to be listener submitted tunes?
Love the new format — that’s Brian for you, keepin’ it fresh!
I like the new format …with a warning. You did a great job of staying laser-focused and the show was wonderful. Several podcasts I listen to are getting longer but not better. The freedom of length is coming at the cost of restraint — resulting in a sloppier, self-indulgent, less disciplined product.
If you can keep your shows as tight as ep. 995, I’m really looking forward to 1k+.
Just wanted to thank you Brian for the podcast over the years but wanted to say the new format has breathed a new energy into the show> I had got into the habit of checking out the theme of the episode and either skipping through it or listening if I was interested in the topic but this will keep people guessing and mixing the whole thing up
I love the format. Thank you, Brian.
This format is a nice little stew of everything that makes Coverville great. Opens it up to even more variety. My fav shows were always the Indie hodgepodge and listener requests ones. I’m gonna dig this for sure!
I like the new format!
How will this effect things Coverville Citizen extras? With no more cover stories and every episode possibly having a cover story how will you produce the additional shows?
I sorta liked the All Time Recording, but his breathy voice was so low compared the accompanying music it kinda dominated the whole thing.
