YAY! MacArthur Park!
I just saw Stew & the Negro Problem live in CENTRAL Park on Sunday, and it was awesome. He didn’t play MacArthur Park, but it was awesome, nonetheless. I got to meet him and bassist Heidi Rodewald backstage afterwards, and they were terrificly cool and nice. I considered mentioning making this request, but I wasn’t certain it would be played. Rock on.
Loved the Yaz and Clash covers.
Hi Tina.
Hah!
Keep it coming. Coverville Nation loves Brian AND Tina!!!!
Lotsa love out here for all of you – – even Tristan when he isn’t speaking into the mike.
Tim
Been covered before (pardon the pun), but why do UK bands change their name in the USA? It’s Yazoo!
The second best Cover song site recently posted abot 90% of the Upstairs at Erics album, covered. Awesome album and a great set of covers. This latest one fromm that album is a new one to me!
At least in the case of Yaz(oo), I think it was because of the record label over here called Yazoo. And yet, football (of the American persuasion, natch) fans don’t have a problem telling Adrian Peterson, running back for the Bears, from Adrian Peterson, running back for the Vikings, which I’d think would be more confusing.
I’m 54. I reckon if I listened to Richard Harris do MacArthur Park 6 times in a row I’d be stoned ! Thanks Brian for bringing back the (somewhat fuzzy ) memories.
