Tonight you’ll hear music by Clare Fader and the Vaudevillains, Jamie Leonhart, Dave’s True Story, The Indigo Girls, The Beautiful South and Liza Minelli. Liza Minelli?!? (and the Pet Shop Boys)…
I’ve provided links to the independent artists above – if you like their music, visit their sites, and tell them you heard them on Coverville! (I get no money, but I feel really good inside. Like when I drink NyQuil.)

Maybe this is just an unavoidable effect of success, but the download speed for Coverville has been steadily decreasing in the past few weeks.
Given that there seems to be high interest at the time of release, have you considered a bittorrent release, which would spread the load and actually increase the speed?
(And, a side note, it was sure cool to be sitting in my doctor’s waiting room today and see your mug in the current Business Week!)
Oh man Brian, you went through the trouble of trying to rectify your mistake and then ended up making new ones.
The Maroon 5 track is from 2003 (1.22.03 to be exact, not 1998) and before the name change they were Kara’s Flower (as you said in show 58) not “Kelly’s Garden”.
Still a great show, though I do admit I was dissapointed you didn’t throw in my request for Universal Hall Pass’s cover of
Ring of Fire
Loved “The Rainbow Connection.” Stylewise, it reminds me a bit of Barenaked Ladies’ “Tonight Is The Night I Fell Asleep At The Wheel.” Cool. Thanks, Brian!
What a great version of Romeo & Juliet. Wow.
Don’t laugh or think I’m weird, but the singing style kinda reminded me of Bob Dylan’s Hurricane.
Great show, as usual.
For another awsome version of “Blue Moon” check out The Mavericks. Here is the Amazon Link
Hello Brian! Mary K here from Clare Fader & The Vaudevillains. Thanks so much for playing “Libertango” and letting us help you celebrate Piazzola’s birthday. By the way, although we are frequent residents of Long Island City, NY and frequently tour to NYC… alas, we are not New Yorkers. But we take it as a compliment! We are based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina & Gotenburg Sweden at the moment! Keep up the great work and check out my podcast! http://www.marykville.com
Blue Moon was written for the film Manhanttan Melodrama in the 30s- I don’t know if it was performed in the film or by who. Check it out at imdb.com – it’s interesting.
Thanks for playing Dave’s True Story! Folks in NYC should definitely catch them live sometime – very fun band!
