Just wanted to thank you for using your voice to remind everyone that they can help during this time of crisis. Even those who don’t have money to give can find some way to help. Please remind people to call their local red cross and find out what ways they can help out locally by giving their time, extra clothes or just anything. These people have lost everything.
Those of us who have a voice to reach others need to use it to constantly remind them to do something.
“Don’t Let me Be MisUnderstood” is one of my favorite songs. My personal favorite version is the one by Santa Esmeralda used in the Kill Bill soundtrack. Looking at Itunes, I think you could just about do an entire show on the various ways that song has been covered, everything from stripped down and unplugged to lounge.
Thanks for the show, and particularly for the first track. I’ve always particularly like the lines about Coolidge, perhaps even more so the way that Randy Newman delivers them in the original version than in the cover. But the cover is great. Currently, if you buy it from Rhapsody, some of the proceeds go to Katrina relief.
