Response has been great for the ongoing Coverville Theme Remix Contest – but my initial contest announcement only came with a version of the theme in GarageBand ’08 format! So, for those with older versions of GarageBand, or folks without GarageBand, I now have the motherlode of contest materials.
Visit my Theme page for older GB versions, and individual “layers” of the track in mp3 format! This should give you everything you need to create your masterpiece!
Contest ends December 15th. In honor of the contest’s suggestor, the winner will receive the Seinfeld Season 1 and 2 DVD sets (U.S. Region 1 NTSC). Because of the DVDs, only U.S. residents will be eligible for the prize, but everyone is welcome to enter!
I’ll play the top 5 winners as the themes to the Countdown shows at the end of December. Good luck!
Addition 12-06-07: Wayne and Foo make a good point. If you win, and you want the DVDs – no matter where you are in the world – I’ll take care of the extra postage and send them out to you!
Unless shipping is an issue, you should still offer the DVDs for whoever the winner is!
Many people are able to play any region DVDs (eg. bought a player in the US, use a region free player, use an OS/DVD drive that lets you get around the restrictions).
Thanks, FooBoo
Wow, I can’t wait to hear the remixes.. I might even attempt one. It never really sounds like brian ibbot singing the distorted vocals until it’s seperated out, now I can hear it.
I’ve had the sad realisation that my knowledge of Garageband is woefully inadequate to do anything interesting.
Time to load up those free loops on the free CD’s in the I-Create magazines (and look at the tutorials) and try to get some inspiration…
