The nominations are in, and voting is now open for the Coverville Countdown! (and no hanging chads)

I think this is going to be a very interesting year for the Countdown. There are some old favorites from previous years in there, but there are a lot of new entries! (I did my best to correct misspellings and inaccuracies, but a few might have still slipped by.)

Here’s how it works:
The entire list of nominees has a 5-point rating system. You’ve got 10 points to spend, and you can vote for as many songs as you want, but your points will be distributed by each of the songs you choose, weighted by your ratings. The more songs you vote for, the smaller value your points will have when divided by those songs. If you vote for one song, and make it a 5-pointed, your entire 10 points will be added to the total for that song.

Trust me. If the above instructions are confusing you, just rate the songs you like – it’ll all work out just fine.

To keep it fair (and prevent ballot box-stuffing), you may only complete the survey once. Tell your friends to vote as well, and check out the show to hear the results!

The songs with the highest total points will be ranked, and played on the Countdown 2007 shows, starting on December 20, 2007.
