Woot. Just scanned my library. Quick list ordered alphabetically by artist.. I excluded Mercer's contemporary artists.
Dr. John – Accentuate the Positive
Eva Cassidy – Autumn Leaves
Katie Melua – Blues In The Night
Petra Haden & Bill Frisell – Moon River
Rufus Wainwright – Come Rain or Come Shine
Siouxsie & The Banshees – Peek-a-Boo
Tony Bennet with Bono – I Wanna Be Around
That is just the tip of the iceberg. He has a huge catalog.
How funny… My wife's family is from Savannah (Johnny Mercer's home for a long time) – they live right near Johnny Mercer Blvd. The story is that her Great Aunt dated Johnny Mercer a few times but didn't think he'd amount to much and moved on… so much for that. What a great writer.
This is a wonderful collection of songs and artists, very, very good so thanks a million I really enjoyed the link EXCELLENT!
