Someone has been hammering the Countdown survey with numerous entries, all voting for the same five songs. The same five songs, over 50 times in the last couple hours.
I direct this to you and only you, dear submitter: What fun is this countdown if you’ve “fixed” the first five entries? There are no prizes involved for the songs played, and you run the risk of getting carpal tunnel. Please stop. (Note: I will be removing those 50-plus votes that all came from the same IP. Neener neener.)
Well done Brian
I have voted once and only once, not even again from my work computer, even though, by picking my 5, there were at least 3 songs I had to ditch (painfully!)
I agree, this seems insane. Maybe you can charge this guy/gal $2 a vote next year…
Wayne
I voted, told all my firend to voted too.
Wished I could vote for 10 songs and not 5.
Sorry. 🙁
Kidding. You should charge next time.
Darn I just found Common People, only after voting hope it makes it in to the countdown.
I too have only voted for 5, choosing not to vote again at home (let alone using the wife’s machine). Just seems right.
I also consider Common people a 2005 song, so I didn’t vote for it. Even though I bought the Shatner CD based on that 1 song and played the hell out of it.
Glad I’m not the only one who wrestled with the moral question of whether or not to vote from home and work. I too chose not to.
So I’m glad Mr/Ms 50 votes isn’t getting counted.
We here in Oz would say it’s just not cricket
Hey Bernadette, it’s the pavlova (and Russell Crowe, Crowded House etc) all over again…
“It’s not cricket” is of UK origin, but clearly you have shamelessly called it your own.
It’s not cricket that our team are playing so far either in Oz, so I won’t push it too far!
