Wasn’t too thrilled with Sisters of Mercy. It must be generational, however…. The Joe Cocker cover story was wonderful.
Loved hearing Little Wing again (I have the Santana album in my collection). Again, a couple here I’d love to add to my collection…
Interesting hearing Andrew WK. I only knew him from Nickelodeon’s “Destroy Build Destroy”
Oops! Wrong Show!
Loved this episode. I remember “Piano Man” from high school… Waking to the local college station with Billy Joel or Springsteen.
Memories.
Billy Joel wrote songs that had some of the most engaging chord progressions that exist in popular music. So, do you know how when a covering artist doesn’t play a particular chord on a guitar, because it’s either too challenging or the artist just doesn’t know how to play it? Yeah, I hate it when that happens. I say that if you don’t know the chord, don’t cover the song. For the most part though, these are great covers. Thanks, Brian!
