The Bowie cover was great.
And I’m glad you aren’t doing a 9/11 tribute. IMHO, 90% of the “tributes” we’ll be subjected to will be inappropriate.
That title got me all excited for an all bond theme song cover show. But you put a Bowie cover in so I’ll forgive you for this week.
Speaking of Bowie covers, is the David Bowie cover story going to be coming down the pipeline anytime soon?
Love the show Brian, keep up the good work 🙂
King of Wishful Thinking was by Go West
This is another great show. I did check out Obidiah Parker and it’s a band I’d like to hear more of.
Thanks for all the great music.
Goldfinger rocks!
Great show, Brian.
Brian, The Bangles first LP was “All Over The Place” and was released in 1984 and did NOT include “Manic Monday”. That first LP was more indie rock with Beatlesque touches… before they sold out. (There! I said it!!!)
Hey Brian, Great show as always.
Just one comment, during your Musically Challenged segment, you said that the Bangles album with “Manic Monday” was their first album. It was not. ‘Different Light’ was their second album. ‘All Over the Place’ was their first.
That Goldfinger version of “Rio” is probably my second favorite cover of all time.
I guess the only way you could top it is to play my #1 fave which is “Enjoy The Silence” by Failure.
Keep up the good work, Brian! LOVE the show!
Loved the Bowie cover! My son calls my iPod “the Bo’Pod”, because I have mostly Bowie on it 🙂
So, what exactly was NSFW about this episode? Did I miss something?
So, Brian, what’s the verdict?
For the life of me I can’t remember. I think the Goldfinger and Disturbed tracks must have something in them that I thought wasn’t kid-safe. (But I’ve listened to a million things since then, so I can’t remember…)
