looks like a great show, I’m d/l’ing it now. Was glad that you started with “Girl from the north country” – I’m sure most people know already that Simon and Garfunkel used the 2nd half of the lyrics in the first verse in one of their songs.
Great show. I love that version of Hwy 61 Revisited by Johnny Winter.
…and thanks for not playing any versions of “I’m Proud to be an American” (L. Greenwood). I’ve been fearing it ever since you started asking for submissions for this show. Now I’m very (very) relieved.
I really enjoyed this show – great job Brian. Although when I heard A Case of You, I’ll admit I shed a little tear on my train to work. It was beautiful. Thanks
I didn’t make the cutoff but I thought Dixie Chicks version of God Speed, Sweet Dreams, originally written and recorded by Radney Foster would of been good/weird choice.
Brian!
It wasn’t your request, but thanks for including “Gulf War Song.” Wow. Amazing. It’s perfect.
The tone of the show was more somber than usual. I suspect it was intentional. Either way, it fit.
I think all the nights should be dedicated to the troops or at list 2 minutes daily. They are the ones who sacrifice everything for our good so i think they deserve at lest 2 minutes daily.
