You really had me until you mentioned the society for overeating cats! April Fool!!??!!
Wow, the Steve Tyler Trash cover may displace Cake’s Mana-manah as my favorite Sesame cover.
Very good Brian, made me laugh this morning on the train, especially Michael Jackson with that Tito comment!
Steve Tyler was very good!
Nice job. I thought that I wouldn’t be fooled, because I knew it was April 1st. I also caught your “overating cats” comment, so I thought this was going to be easy. So, naturally, when I heard the first track, my reaction was “wow, that’s a really good Steven Tyler impersonator.”
You got me, Brian, because it actually WAS Steven Tyler. Who’d have guessed?
doh! It took me til the Michael Jackson song to get the April Fools. I’m listening to it on April 2nd so that is my excuse. š Very funny…great episode!
I love this podcast, been listening for ages, but these goofball episodes are what keep me totally jazzed about Coverville.
Thanks —keep it up!
I know you sometimes post YouTube videos, and I came across one that I certainly found interesting! Perhaps you will, too. Alanis Morissette covering “My Humps”. Hilarious!

Okay… so the Yogi bear song had hints of “just what I needed” Rawhide had Bille Jean… what was the name of the Springsteen song that was used?
I haven’t listened yet, but I can’t believe it has been a year since the “originalville” april fools episode.
Personally, it was the “It’s April 1, 2007” in your intro that gave it away. Next time you might was to say “the first day of April” or something š
Of course, I was also on alert after falling for last year’s prank until the last 2 songs I think.
Great show and entertaining covers though! Any idea where I can pick up that “Rerun Rock” album please?
This was a great show and I have been trying to find a site where I can download the “I love trash” cover… but I can’t find it!
Any tips?

The original version of The Ballad of Gilliganās Island was performed by a group called The Wellingtons. For seasons two and three the song was rerecorded with altered lyrics (āthe professor and Mary Anneā replaced āand the restā) by a group called The Eligibles.
What are these pills about? What can I use them for?
