You beat me to the correction about “Hooked on a feeling”! By the way it was written by Mark “Suspicious Minds” James and my sources also reveal that Jonathan King added the Ooga Cacha theme that Blue Swede and of course the Hoffmeister took up. That would be the Jonathan King who served 3.5 years in jail for sexual offences against young boys…
“You’re no good” was of course most famous here by the very sucessful version by The Swinging Blue Jeans from 1964. I hadn’t a clue it was a cover or that Linda Ronstadt had done a version!
I have never heard the Elvis Costello cover of “A Good Year for the Roses”, but have heard the George Jones rendition since I was a kid. I love Elvis Costello … would you please play his version?
Thanks, and keep those covers comin’!
The Nerves! I love that song.
But hey, I just noticed there ain’t never been no Plimsouls covers done on the show. What’s up with that?!?
Haven’t heard the show yet, but excellent TMNT reference in the title.
