If you can’t go to Folsom Prison does that mean you’re under House arrest.
Great show! I had no idea that Philosopher Kings song was a cover!
Thanks for the plug and kind words about Skull-A-Day, I’m glad you dig it!
That Godley & Creme cover had exactly the same effect on me. Been hearing it in my head all day. Caused me to rifle through my 7 inch singles too, to find “Under Your thumb” from 1981, another of their releases.
I was sure you have played “Toxic” by The Boss Hoss, but your archive and the tubes says differently!
“Cry” is a song that would definitely be on my Top 100 list if I ever made one. I thoroughly enjoyed this cover. Thanks for playing it.
OH my God, Soundgarden! That was one of the first songs I ever heard by them, and it blew my head right off. Love the song, and I’m thrilled to hear them on Coverville. A fantastic selection.
They’ve done some other dynamite covers in their time. Devo, Spinal Tap, Black Sabbath (I think you’ve played “Into the Void.”) Their version of the Stones’ “Stray Cat Blues” is particularly great – maybe Chris Cornell’s sexiest vocal performance.
Um … if you like that sort of thing.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Hi, I’m back.
That acappella cover of the Imogen Heap song was stunning. I’m on the floor. Wow.
Ditto to Sky Bluesky. The acapella cover of Imogen Heap’s Hide & Seek is simply amazing. I definitely have to check out more covers by UCLA Awaken A Cappella. Simply amazing!
